All'Ombra Del Campanile is a truly beautiful holiday house located in the historic center of Tarquinia, behind the Duomo cathedral, elegantly furnished and cared to the smallest detail. From the windows you can enjoy the view of the wonderful bell tower of the cathedral. The structure is equipped with all the comforts, just like when you're at home, or even better !

For us, hosting someone means having care of his happiness during the hours spent in our structure. For this reason, at All'Ombra Del Campanile you will find every kind of comfort and courtesy.
The house is located in the enchanting historic center of Tarquinia, a small medioeval jewel surrounded by ancient walls and towers. Walking through the narrow streets of the village, you find Romanesque churches, fifteenth-century palaces, ancient sources of water and historic buoldings immersed in breathtaking views. In the various churches of thew historic center, the charm of the Gothic-Romanesque religious architecture blends with wonderful Baroque facades. The beautiful towers of Tarquinia date back to the medieval period: defensive, sighting, for service, those towers are one of the attractions of Tarquinia. The prperty is 300 meters from the National Archeological Museum located inside Palazzo Vitelleschi. A few steps away there's the cathedral, Barucci Tower, the amazing sight of the valley below La Ripa garden, and the wonderful church Santa Maria In Castello. At 400 meters you will find a large car park where you can easily leave your car.

The cathedral of Saint margherita and Saint Martino is entirely in neoclassical style with the exception of the apse, still the original one in Gothic style.
Externally, the facade, that is preceded by a staircase and that is flanked on the left side by the bell tower, it hassalient features: in the lower part there are three portals, while in the upper part, ending with a triangular tympanum, there's a mullioned window flanked by the statues of the cathedral saints.
The interior of the cathedral has no transept, with three naves separated by round arches and covered with a barrel vault with lunettes. The main nave ends with the deep polygonal apse, with a considerably smaller section, containing the ancient Baroque high altar in polychrome marble; the walls and the vault of the room still show the frescoes made in the sixteenth-century by Antonio del Massaro, known as "Il Pastura", including a Coronation of the Virgin Mary, various Saints and Sibyls. In the last chapel of the right aisle, two late seventeenth-century canvases signed by Giacinto Brandi, The Death of St. Joseph and The Death of the Virgin Mary.
